let's face it: it's HOT outside. [and it's only June!] If you live in South Florida like me, or if you live anywhere other than Antarctica, you're probably seeking out clothes that help you stay cool while also keeping you looking cute, fresh, on-trend, and fun!
There are of nearly endless possibilities on how to do that, but here's an example of a look I'm loving for this dreadfully hot summer!
First, here's the pieces I used to put this look together:

I love this look for shopping, barbecue's, or any casual event you want to be cool and comfortable for. The skirt hits at the smallest part of your waist, thus making it super-flattering for all shapes and sizes. The tee could have been in any complimentary color, I just LOVE lime green right now and it plays up the small amount of lime green in the floral print of the skirt. The shoes stuck out to me right away at H&M, and for the price, they had to be mine! Any flat, ornamented sandal would work...or I love the idea of this outfit with wedges!!
To finish the look I just added a funky, long necklace (shown here: $7, Forever XXI - i love the rhinestone sunglasses!) and a leather cuff bracelet.
If you really wanted to make a bold statement, pile on more jewelry and some gold-tone bangles mixed with beaded, friendship-bracelet styles for an even trendier look. (or my favorite: add a fedora!!) ;)
This look could be duplicated many different ways, and what's so great about summer fashion is it's very reasonably priced. You can update your entire wardrobe for hardly any cash! (except swim suits - who pays $300 for an inch of fabric! Really!?)
